Built in 1830, the premises of the Cosy Club is a Corinthian styled masterpiece and was originally the headquarters for the Birmingham Banking Company. In 1914, the building was taken over by the Midland Bank, who had historic connections with the founders of Fortior and our sister lodges.
W. Bro. Matthew Kent, Master of the Fortior Lodge at the time reported;
“The luncheon was a huge success. Thank you to all the brethren and friends who came along. The atmosphere was fun and the food was delicious.”
Other feedback was equally appreciated, one guest said:
“Just an extra thank you for yesterday and the opportunity to meet you all. The food and company were wonderful. I really enjoyed myself. A great afternoon.”
